For starters, the industries that employ more women, like retail, healthcare and hospitality, were hit very hard by the pandemic. Second, the mass closures of child care centers and schools have forced many women to leave the workforce to care for their children. In fact, between February 2020 and August 2020, mothers of children 12 years and younger lost 2.2 million jobs, compared to the 870,000 jobs lost by fathers. So what can we, as industry leaders, do about it and implement within our own company? In this enlightening discussion, you’ll hear from three leaders working to turn this issue around, and leave with new ideas and concrete steps to implement now.

In fact, her best-selling book, Radical Candor: Be a Kick-Ass Boss Without Losing Your Humanity, is all about it. Kim believes that the relationships you have with other team members is at the center of your success — individually and collectively. And, at the heart of these relationships is Radical Candor, a simple framework she developed to help leaders build a culture of great feedback. In this session Kim will discuss the Radical Candor concept and how it enables leaders to give feedback in a way that challenges their teams directly — but also lets them know that they care about them personally. It will help you and all the people you work with do the best work of your careers and build stronger working relationships.
